Biography

Holly McAdam is a government lawyer based in Canberra. She focuses on major capability acquisition and sustainment projects and funding arrangements, particularly in the technology sector.

Holly has worked with Commonwealth government clients for over 15 years on all phases of Commonwealth procurement and funding activities. Her role spans structuring and drafting request documentation, conducting evaluation processes through to negotiating and enforcing contracts. She advises on associated issues including regulatory compliance, risk allocation, warranties, liabilities and indemnities, innovative contracting models, IP and on general contract law.

Holly is listed as a band 2 lawyer for Government in Chambers (2022) and "acclaimed by market sources as a very switched-on partner and "rising star in the sector" with a "great eye for detail and deep understanding of our department's business and commercial priorities". She is noted as being especially familiar with the workings of Commonwealth departments (having served on secondment at several), and as regularly advising on the development of major technological innovations.
